At Entegris, time off consists of vacation time and sick leave for non-exempt employees. Full Time Off Policies are located on the Ensider at Human Resources Policies (sharepoint.com).
Vacation Time
Understanding Vacation Time
Eligible employees receive 120–280 hours of vacation per year, based on length of service.
Vacation is paid at your base rate, including shift premium when applicable.
You may accrue vacation up to the maximum allowed for your years of service; accrual pauses once you reach that limit.
Vacation does not accrue during unpaid leaves or other inactive periods unless required by law.
Vacation cannot be borrowed before it’s accrued.
Requesting Vacation Time
Submit requests in ADP at least two weeks in advance.
Vacation may be taken in one‑hour increments and must be recorded in ADP.
All requests require manager approval.
Vacation cannot be used to extend a termination date.
Accrued vacation is paid out when employment ends.
Sick Leave
Understanding Sick Leave
Full‑time non‑exempt employees receive 40 hours of sick leave each January; new hires receive a prorated amount.
Part‑time non‑exempt employees receive prorated sick leave based on scheduled hours.
Employees in California, Colorado, Minnesota, and Oregon should refer to their location‑specific Non‑Exempt Paid Sick Leave and Vacation Policy.
Using Sick Leave
Notify your manager at least one hour before your shift if you’re out sick.
Sick leave can be taken in one‑hour increments and must be recorded in ADP.
You may not use more sick leave than you have available unless protected by applicable laws or Entegris policy.
Once sick time is exhausted, vacation time must be used for additional absences.
Absences of more than three consecutive days may require applying for Family and Medical Leave.
Unused sick leave is not paid out at termination.

Open Leave for Exempt (Salaried) Employees
Our Open Leave policy gives exempt employees the flexibility to take the time you need—whether for vacation, illness, personal or family matters, emergencies, bereavement, or civic duties—while ensuring business needs are met. This policy is designed for short‑term, occasional time away and does not replace FMLA, ADA, Parental Leave, or other paid leave programs.
Requesting Open Leave
Requests should be reasonable in length, planned in advance, and approved by your manager based on workload and business needs.
During open leave, you’re generally expected to respond to urgent, time‑sensitive communications from your manager.
If you’re out due to illness, notify your manager promptly and share the expected duration of your absence.
Open leave cannot be an extension of medical leave
Unused open leave is not paid out when employment ends.
